Argan Oil is extremely popular, versatile and one of the healthiest oils around. It comes with tons of health, hair and skin care benefits because of its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Argan oil is packed with Vitamins, ferulic acid, essential fatty acids and polyphenols, which make it a must among health and beauty fanatics.
Pearl Organic Argan oil comes direct from the Argan trees in Morocco. It is handpicked by the local community whereby the Argan fruits are cracked opened to reach the oil rich kernels. These are grinded and squeezed through cold pressing to produce the finest Organic Argan Oil.
Our Argan oil is non deodorised so it has a slight nutty aroma which is the natural scent of the Argan kernels. It simply means that the Argan kernels have been put through a pressing machine with no heat, preserving all the natural properties.
Argan oil which has been deodorised has been passed through a steam process in a vacuum which removes the natural scent of the Argan kernels. It appears lighter in colour than non-deodorised Argan Oil, no scent and most of the sediment has been removed. One can argue that in actual fact some of the natural beneficial properties of the Argan oil have been removed through this process.
In actual fact, this is a good thing. Do Not Fear! Pearl Non deodorised Organic Cold Pressed Argan oil has sediment at the bottom and a slight golden cloudy appearance. This does NOT mean that it has gone rancid, quite the opposite. The best quality Argan oil has sediment and a slight cloudy appearance due to the fact that it has been cold pressed without any heat, its unrefined so no bleach or heat has affected the pure consistency of the oil. What you see is the entire natural insoluble fraction of the oil, this includes tocopherols, fatty alcohols, sterols and carotenoids - pure goodness!
